A Step Forward

From within all the confusion and obscurity of metropolitan life, comes a glimmer of hope. The latest effort from the Shanghai-based 5piece comprises of four tracks that were inspired by the ups and downs of trying to get through what is known as life. Huge, grating bass and scratchy guitars, as well as various industrial analogue sounds represent the dirty and foul yet euphoric side of life without a care, hedonistically staying awake until the rest of the city wakes up, and the feeling of being at a loss with no hope. This sound is coupled with lush, pretty guitars, dreamy washes of synthetic sound and soaring vocal harmonies that represent a hopeful and blissful carefree attitude. All this is wrapped in lighting spreed tempos with rhythms to pin you against the wall and get your blood pumping.
